Ballarat

Locally we offer our athletes with an intellectual disability the following programs: basketball, swimming and ten pin bowling. Our committee is very keen to establish new sports.  Cricket is a recent addition to Special Olympics.  The local committee would welcome and love to hear from any members of the community who would like to establish our ID  cricket program i.e. coaches and managers. Alternatively  a member of the community who has a love of and interest in any of the other sports offered by Special Olympics may relish the challenge of adding a new sport to our local program, contact us please. To provide opportunities and challenges for our athletes and to grow and expand we need volunteers to coach and manage our athletes.

Training - Wendouree Sports Centre, Cnr Dowling and Norman Sts Wendouree; Sundays 10.30am to 12.00 noon except School Holidays, Public Holidays, Game Days, Mother Day and Father's Day, however always phone Peter on the above number if unsure. $2 fee.

Training - Ballarat Aquatic Centre, Gillies Street; Mondays 6.00pm to 7.00pm except School Holidays, Public Holidays - normal admittance fee applies.

Ten Pin Bowling Contact:    Margaret Halliday - Evenings AH 5338 8541

Training - Ten Pin Bowling Centre, Doveton Street North Ballarat; Friday 5.20pm to 6.30pm (approx) except School Holidays, Public Holidays.   $5.00 for one game $10.00 for (2) games.
